Satake Receives Order from Monde Nissin for Flour Mill Expansion

Major food company in the Philippines chooses Satake

In August , Satake entered into a contract with Monde Nissin Corporation in the Philippines to supply flour milling machinery and provide engineering expertise for their flour mill expansion.

Monde Nissin is a leading food manufacturer in the Philippines, producing and selling biscuits, instant noodles, and other similar products. The instant noodles, branded “Lucky Me”, are popular and have a market share of about 80%. In addition, some of the products are exported to neighboring countries, like Indonesia and Thailand.

Monde Nissin owns a flour mill and adopted Satake's flour milling system in 1992. They expanded the mill capacity twice as product sales increased. They chose Satake again for the current (third) expansion.

The expansion includes a new 360 tons/day both soft and hard wheat capable system. The total plant capacity will be 1,080tons/day (5 lines) after the expansion. The expansion is scheduled for completion in September, 2013.
