Rice Variety Analysis Service Increases Number of Analyzable Varieties

New Varieties can be Analyzed

On June 1, Satake increased the number of varieties available for its Rice Variety Analysis Service to 291.

Analyzing Rice Variety

Satake started its rice and cooked rice variety analysis (DNA analysis) service in 2003 and has analyzed many samples since. Every year Satake has worked to increase the number of varieties that can be analyzed.
45 new varieties (26 varieties of non-glutinous rice, 2 varieties of glutinous rice, 16 varieties of rice for sake brewing, 1 variety of rice for feed) have been newly added. Most domestic rice can be analyzed today.
