Satake Participate to “THAIFEX” for the First Time

To Promote Optical Sorter to Thai Coffee Industry

Satake will exhibit optical sorter for coffee bean sorting at “THAIFEX - World of Food Asia” held in Bangkok from May 31st.

THAIFEX is the largest International Trade Exhibition for Food & Beverages, Food Technology and Retail & Franchise in Asia. The show hosted by Koelnmesse Pte. Ltd. is in its 14th year, and more than 40,000 visitors are expected to come.

Satake participates to the exhibition for the first time and demonstrates optical sorter (Model : FMS2000) which can remove immature kernels, molded and improperly roasted kernels etc. from coffee beans.

Thai coffee industry is growing both in quantity and in quality thanks to increase in middle class population and change in their appetite. A major coffee chain opened its first coffeehouse in Thailand in 1998, will increase their coffeehouse to 300 by 2018.

Satake has sold many optical sorters for coffee industry in Asian countries such as Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Taiwan etc. and has been highly regarded from them. Satake takes this opportunity to develop optical sorter business in Thai coffee industry.

The show is held at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center from May 31 to June 2. Satake’s booth is in C1-MM39.

2．Optical Sorter Sorting Image「FMS2000」

Material fed and slid on chute is thrown and goes through the detecting point where two full color CCD cameras are scanning from both sides. When the full color CCD cameras detect defective material or impurity, ejector nozzle blown it off from the main material stream.	Demonstration「FMS2000」
