Satake Celebrates Expansion of Satake Manufacturing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

Production Capacity Enhanced to Correspond to Steadily Increasing Demand.

A ceremony was held on March 15th, 2004 for the completion of a plant expansion at Satake Manufacturing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. About 150 people participated in the ceremony, including Toshiko Satake, Chairperson of Satake Manufacturing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

Satake Manufacturing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in 1997 to manufacture and supply rice and wheat milling machinery, including optical sorters, to the Chinese domestic market. Since its establishment, the demand from state enterprises has increased steadily and the factory has been in full operation, manufacturing 800 different types of machine in recent years. It was decided to expand the factory to allow Satake Manufacturing(Suzhou) to respond to the increasing demand in China and also become an export-oriented manufacturing base.

The expansion doubled the factory area from 10,000m2 to 20,000m2 and added a showroom, inspection room and clean room for electrical devices.

In accordance with this expansion, Satake Manufacturing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. increased its employee headcount to 300. It is also scheduled to establish a new service office in Amoy. This will be the fifth service office in China, after Suzhou, Beijing, Harbin and Shenyang.
