Satake Awarded Best Technology Award from Japan Society of Polymer Processing.

Best Technology Award

Satake Corporation awarded 16th Best Technology Award from Japan Society of Polymer Processing for "Paint Removal Technology for Car Bumper Recycling" together with Mazda Motor Corporation and Takase Synthetic Chemistry Corporation on May 24, 2006.

The "Best Technology Award" was established to promote technology globally, to contribute to the progress in polymer processing, and to encourage further technical progress for the future. The technology award - entitled "bumper to bumper recycling" by Mazda Motor Corporation, promoted the need for quality and intensity, by removing paint film from recycling resin at high efficiency. In the series of awarded technology, Satake applied and optimized an optical sorter system, used for removal of defective kernel and impurities in cereals, to the application of recycled bumper sorting. Satake optical sorters are located after the slashing and mechanical paint removal process and are effective in sorting paint residuals from polished recycle bumper resin. The optical sorter improved paint removal ratio to 99.0% - 99.9%.
