Satake at Fooma Japan 2008

"The Future of Food"

FOOMA Japan 2008 (International Food Machinery & Technology Exhibition) was held from May 27 to May 30, 2008 at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center (Tokyo Big Sight). Satake Corporation ran a booth in the East-5 hall (E5K-13).

The Satake booth had six areas: optical sorters, inspection and analytical instruments, IH cooking products, food and household products, grain preparative processing machinery, and environmental systems. Actual equipment was on display and there were panels and demonstrations, all with the common theme of "The Future of Food Protected by Electronic Eyes"

Satake's advanced optical sorting technology gathered an especially large amount of attention, in part due to the ever increasing consumer focus on safe and reliable food.

Not limited to rice and wheat, Satake's optical sorters can be profitably applied to fields ranging from processed foods to plastics, with even more potential uses on the horizon as the technology continues to evolve. Satake also demonstrated its new IH cooking products at the booth, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of spectators.
