Pesticide Residue Analysis Service expands, Mycotoxin Analysis Begins

Now testing for methamidophos and acetamiprid

On December 15, 2008, Satake added two new chemicals to the Pesticide Residue Analysis Service it has offered since May, 2006, increasing the total number of analyzable chemicals to 468. In addition, Satake now offers a mycotoxin testing service.

The Pesticide Residue Analysis Service at work

Recent years have seen numerous incidents of compromised food safety, and consumer concerns about the safety and security of the food products they buy is constantly increasing. Satake introduced the Pesticide Residue Analysis Service for rice, vegetables and fruits to fulfill its fundamental mission to enhance the safety, security, deliciousness, and healthiness of foods. To better satisfy these goals, the frequently requested pesticide residues (methamidophos and acetamiprid) have been added to this service, and a new mycotoxin (aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol, nivalenol) analysis service has been established. Food producers and distributors can now reliably check for pesticide residues and mycotoxins in their products and deliver safe food to their consumers.
