Hiroshima, Japan; June 30, 2026 - Satake announces the global launch of SLASH β PLUS (Model: EMS-01B), a compact optical sorter that succeeds the widely acclaimed PikaSen α series.

In 2014, Satake released the optical sorter PikaSen α (FMS2000), designed to handle a wide variety of materials such as small grains and plastics flakes. The following year, the company developed "PikaSen α PLUS(FMS2000-F)," adding shape-sorting functionality and  expanded the range of sortable materials, earning strong market recognition.

The newly developed SLASH β PLUS, inherits popular operator friendly features such as the automatic sensitivity setting system and tool-free cleaning and maintenance structure, while further improving sorting performance, usability, and product yield.

Equipped with ultra-fast, high-efficiency ejectors, the machine reduces the amount of acceptable product discharged together with defective material by approximately 10% compared with previous models. In addition, the sorter now supports two selectable air ejection patterns instead of a single pattern, enabling more precise sorting of materials with varying falling speeds, including lightweight defects.

The light source has been upgraded to LED technology, reducing startup warm-up time to approximately five minutes. The LED light source also offers a service life approximately 1.5 times longer than that of previous models. Furthermore, external input/output (I/O) signal functions enable seamless integration with upstream and downstream equipment to meet diverse customer requirements.

SLASH β PLUS is designed for a broad range of applications, including agricultural processing, food processing, and plastic recycling industries.
