Satake appoints Kazuhisa Matsumoto as company president

Hiroshima, Japan; June 1, 2021 - The Board of Satake Corporation has appointed Kazuhisa Matsumoto as the new company president as of June 1, 2021.

Mr. Matsumoto was born and raised in Hiroshima prefecture, Japan, and earned his degree in Business Administration from Tokyo Keizai University. He began his career at Satake in 1991 and has since served in many functions throughout the organization. Before joining Satake's Board of Directors in 2018, he served for 8 years as the head of the Corporate Planning Office. Due to his knowledge and leadership experience, in 2019 he was appointed as the Senior Managing Director, and in 2020 became the Executive Vice President.

Upon his recent appointment to company president, Mr. Matsumoto stated: "Satake has been leading the grain processing industry for over 125 years. As our company president, I will continue working with our business and industry partners to benefit society with high quality products and cutting-edge technology. Furthermore, my mission is to have Satake play a global leading role in sustainable technology by further promoting the innovative solutions typical of our company."

The board also appointed the previous chairperson, Toshiko Satake, as an honorary chairperson; Takeshi Fukumori as a representative director and chairperson; and Kazuyuki Kihara as a representative director and vice-chairperson.
