　Joinville, Brazil; May 15, 2018 - SATAKE America Latina, Ltda. releases its latest optical sorter, the FMSR series to meet the demands of various industries in Brazil.

The new FMSR series uses Satake's latest RGB technology which incorporates shape sorting capabilities to remove unwanted products such as discoloration and irregular-shape defects from a relatively small products like coffee beans. Two models, FMSR02-L (2 chutes) and FMSR03-L (3 chutes) are set to be launched in the Brazilian market. Although production capacity depends on incoming product conditions, the FMSR02-L is capable of sorting coffee beans at 4 tons per hour and 6 tons per hour for the FMSR03-L. For larger capacity requirements, multiple FMSR machines can be connected (up to 6 chutes) to meet the needs of a wide range of products and markets. For example, FMSR 02-L and FMSR 03-L can be connected to make up a 5-chute optical sorter for the rice industry with higher throughput.

　The FMSR series is designed based on the popular "FMS series Optical Sorter" sold in Asia. It utilizes pre-assembled core components, optics for example, manufactured in Japan for the highest sorting performance. However, as most other components are manufactured in Brazil, the system benefits from FINAME financing.

The Satake's lead engineer for the FMSR development, Kohei Kishimoto, says "the FMSR is a Brazilian optical sorter incorporating Satake's latest technology developed in Japan. With its flexibility to meet variable customer's capacity requirements, it offers a wide range of usage in many different applications in Brazil." -------END-------
